About Us

Welcome to the Peoria County Republican Party website. We are glad you are here.

The Republican Party was initially united in 1854 by the promise to abolish slavery and has always stood for freedom, prosperity, and opportunity. Because Personal Liberties always need defending, we are engaged in a local effort to protect individual liberty, take our message to every American, grow the party, promote election integrity, and elect Republicans up and down the ballot. The principles of the Republican Party recognize the God-given liberties while promoting opportunity for every American.

The Peoria County Republican Central Committee is the governing body of the Republican Party in Peoria County. The Peoria County Republican Central Committee is an integral, but independent, part of the National Republican Party and the Illinois Republican Party. The Peoria County Republican Central Committee has the authority to take all appropriate action to promote the principles and the programs of the Republican Party in Peoria County and to help elect Republican candidates at all levels of government.

The organization is legally designated as the “Peoria County Republican Central Committee,” but may also be known as the “Peoria County Republican Party” for informal purposes.
